About the artist

Born in Sakarya in 1991, Seda Boy graduated in Ceramic and Glass Design from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2017. Her practice examines tensions between form and meaning, using recurring symbols to consider social, cultural and political questions.

Working from ceramics across photography, video, performance and sound, she brings materials together in layered narratives of memory, space and time. These works invite viewers into an active encounter with the artwork, questioning representation and sensory perception. Moving between personal experience and collective memory, Boy opens a space for reflection on the traces of human agency.
