Turquoise and pale blue meet a black ground, keeping birdlike forms in motion rather than fixing them within a stable space. Yellow and red accents, circular marks around the eyes and writing across the surface establish a rhythm between painterly gesture and linear signs. Figures emerge, draw close and dissolve back into the flow of colour.

According to the collector, the artist returned to a painting made in 2019 and worked over it in 2020. These two dates invite us to read the surface as a space revisited and transformed, rather than an image completed in a single moment. Writing, birdlike forms and overlapping movements of colour make the act of reworking a living part of the composition.
